David Hughes-Board President

Ashley Hughes-Founder and Executive Director

David has been in various ministry leadership roles for the past 14 years. He is passionate about serving the body of Christ developing, discipling, and building leaders is his passion. Pursuing his giftings, he has served on the Tucson Ministry Alliance Admin Team, facilitating, leading, and promoting unity in the Body of Christ through collaboration, networking, and creating awareness of issues impacting others. He currently is attending the University of Arizona for his bachelors in Literacy, Learning and Leadership and works at Pantano Christian Church.

God has been preparing Ashley for this ministry since she was younger. Tragically at the age of 19, Ashley’s high school sweetheart and husband of 2 1/2 months was killed by a driver who was under the influence of drugs and alcohol. It is this life-changing event that fully equipped Ashley to serve as she does. Several years later, God brought Ashley and David together.  They now have three children and  serve in ministry together.  Over the course of time, Ashley has worked and volunteered for numerous ministries and church roles, including worship ministries, Save the Storks, GAP Ministries, Breakdown International, and Hands of Hope Tucson and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Together Ashley & David are committed to helping others in their community and beyond to find Joy in the Mourning.
